moderated status off, but messages still held

My host server has just installed Mailman and I cannot get it off of
moderated status no matter what I check off. The moderated status is
turned off, yet I still have to approve all messages, even my own!

Sorry, more information is needed. What reason is Mailman giving for
holding the messages for approval?

We are also new to Mailman mailing lists. I am the
administrator of several lists and have not asked for any
posting to require administrative/moderator approval, but
all or most of the posts are being held for my approval.

My own posts are held with the reason given as "Message has
implicit destination" even though the only address included
is the address of the list
itself "<email address hidden>." I have no carbon
or blind copy addresses.

Some other reasons for the system to hold an email for
approval are appropriate, but it doesn't seem that this one
is. I am the moderator and need my postings (and most
others) to sail through without my approval.

This is way old and there isn't enough information to go on.
 I also suspect it has no relevence to Mailman 2.1. G'bye.
