I am subscribed to closed/under approval mailing list. I find that I too
often post from my other mail address and my posts are held for approval. I
want to fix this without disturbing admins. I can't.

At some point in the future, you will be able to associate multiple email
addresses with your "account". That should allow you to post to
any moderated list from any of those addrs. This isn't supported in 2.0.
