Bug Description

Jitterbug-Id: 271
Submitted-By: <email address hidden>
Date: Wed, 7 Jun 2000 16:06:58 -0400 (EDT)
Version: 2.0b2
OS: RH Linux 6.2

Please, Please, PLEASE make passwords optional. We have several mailing
lists
over
125,000 users, one of them expected to grow to 5,000,0000 users. These
lists
are
read-only, and are being migrated from another list processor. I have spent
a
lot
of time and energy selling the company on Mailman, and have got it put in
place.
It
was actually processing the migrated list before anyone realized that
passwords
were
mandatory.

I will have to migrate these lists (as well as 150 others) to yet another
list
processor if this is not changed quickly.

If you need to get ahold of me to discuss this further, please reply via
email
to
either <email address hidden> or <email address hidden> (preferred).

You can also reach me at (919) 547-0012, ask for extension 423.. don't
leave
voicemail as I will not receive it.

Thank you VERY much!

Rusty Atkins
