Bug Description

Binary package hint: digikam

Hello,
I'm using Digikam 0.9.3 on Kubuntu 8.04; and I can't export any photos to my ipod 5G, 60Gb video.
I've already done that, with Digikam (can't remember the version).
When I get the ipod export window, I can choose an actual photo directory on my ipod on the upper part of the window, and I can choose a photo to transfer to my ipod in the part below of the window. (whether using the "add" button or dragging/droping them)
Than, the "transfer" button becomes active, and when I click on it, the photo I chose to transfer disappear, (replaced by "upload queue, to create a queue drag images and drop them here" text) and it is not transfered ...
I tried that on my 2 Kubuntu computers, and also in gwenview. (with kipi plugins)

Description: Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release: 8.04

I have the same problem on ubuntu 8.04 . i cannot export using gwenview or digikam. This is with a 6th generation (ipod classic) 80gb. However, debian lenny uses digikam 0.9.4 in which it is fixed. So i assume this bug is fixed upstream.

I tested and got the same result. I hope this is the correct method to confirm...

You could try and tell us :P

It is however unlikely, I think we didn't change ver ymuch regarding this. It might be very possible that it will be addressed in 9.04 though (seeing how the new digikam verison should be available by then).

I would but i'm not running ubuntu 8.10 on my hardware directly. I suggest some one else get the build from upstream or from ubuntu 8.10 (either backporting it or upgrading to it).

This is fixed in ubuntu 8.10 for my 80gb ipod classic. Previously it did not work.
