Bug Description
I use a router to connect to the internet,no matter in 8.04 or 8.10, I have to manually change the DNS (the default dns is 192.168.1.1) or I cannot surf the net. in 8.10, the network manager has changed a lot. i modify the setting to "Automatic (DHCP) addresses only" , then fill in DNS server address, but it still doesn't work, i check /etc/resolv.conf it reads: nameserver 192.168.1.1. That means the previous modification i made doesn't take effect, after changing it by hand, it works.
this problem exists in Ubuntu 8.10 daily-live of 0904

maybe your changes of the setting are somehow not properly saved/transmitted? Are the setting still in the nm-applet after a reboot? Maybe consider to create a "new" connection instead of editing an existing auto connection.
