Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
If I try to run some games in fullscreen using the native resolution of my LCD, the game will switch to windowed mode, but using the native resolution of the screen (this makes an oversized window). However, if I select a lower resolution than the native one, I can then keep on playing in fullscreen mode, but then that leads to slight flickering. The same is true for a projector I have running at 1024 that is natively an 800 screen. During this odd windowing problem I seem to lose control of the mouse and have to alt-tab around to the terminal and ctrl-c out of the offending application.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.
