* run 'chmod +x debain/patches/*' .. in the extracted directory. many packages complain about patching.
* Fix the output "extracted at ./foo/foo-x.y-ubuntu1" when the extracted directory is actually ./foo/foo-x.y-ubuntu2. In general extracted directories ending with ubuntuN are actually extracted to ubuntuN+1
