avidemux conflicts with mplayer (indirectly)

It is not clear to me if this should bug should be filed to avidemux/mplayer (Action: use another library)
or even to one of the 'lame' packages (see below) (Action: somehow fix conflict, e.g. rename libraries).

Fact is:

With Intrepid/8.10 avidemux and mplayer cannot be installed in parallel.
avidemux uses package libmp3lame0
mplayer uses package liblame0
Both these 'lame' packages are conflicting, so installing avidemux and mplayer
the same time fails (installing avidemux removes mplayer and vice versa).
Versions (from dpkg -l):
rc liblame0 3.97-0.0 LAME Ain't an MP3 Encoder
ii libmp3lame0 3.98-0.0 LAME Ain't an MP3 Encoder

Workaround: I do not know about avidemux, but mplayer can easily be compiled from original source package,
because the package also includes all needed libraries. So get the source and run a simple
"./configure --prefix=AS_YOU_LIKE, make;make install" cycle and you have "private" mplayer installed at "prefix".
