Which version of Ubuntu do you have? Hardy (8.04)? Package 'emerald-themes' is for gutsy (7.10) and feisty (7.04).

If so, it needs to be removed from showing up in the repos. The only repos I have are hardy. Attached is my sources.list.

Package emerald-themes does not exist in the repository for Jaunty. The package emerald recommends this package:
