I was about to say, I've never had that problem. But then, I've only used Hoary
and Breezy.

The distinct Arizona (America/Phoenix) time zone is only of historical interest,
and so is no longer offered; these days, Arizona uses Mountain time (MST). The
installer now attempts to offer only time zones of modern interest, since doing
otherwise results in strange behaviour for countries that have multiple
historical time zones but only one modern one (such as the United Kingdom).

The problem is that most of arizona (not including navajo nation) does not follow daylight savings. The rest of the
surrounding states (new mexico, texas etc...) change to MDT during summer to follow daylight savings. I believe that
setting pc clock to MST will result in daylight savings. Either way you want to call them, there needs to be 2 distinct
timezones as in summer arizona is not on same time as texas and new mexico.

Ah, right; thanks for the correction. I've committed a change upstream restoring
Arizona to the US time zone question, and will upload that once it's had time to
collect some translations.

OK, done and synced into Ubuntu. Thanks for persisting despite my initial
misapprehension. :-)

tzsetup (1:0.7) unstable; urgency=low

  * Restore Arizona to US question; it's distinct from US/Mountain in that
it does not use daylight savings time
    (https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=20160).
