Bug Description
A lot of people have problems to login on GDM because of wrong permissions in a
file called .ICEauthority in their home directory.
There is a lot of threads on ubuntu foruns describing the problem, here is a
link of one of those:

To have a sucessfull login the user must delete the file.
To post a comment you must log in.
That only happens if you run (buggy) GUI applications via sudo that are not
meant to be run via sudo.
