If you look at http://packages.debian.org/source/sid/pulseaudio you will see that pulseaudio-module-jack is a binary package built from the pulseaudio source package.

We're at 0.9.10-2ubuntu3 already. What's the plan?

Pulseaudio 0.9.11 will be uploaded into Intrepid when there has been sufficient testing, and no major issues found. Please try the pulseaudio package from my PPA, http://launchpad.net/~themuso/+archive and help test.

Thanks

If 0.9.11 hasn't been put into Intrepid yet, why not just skip it and for 0.9.12?

Intrepid is sticking with 0.9.10 because users found too many issues with 0.9.11 and 0.9.12, such as working with USB sound cards, moving streams between devices, etc.

As for the jack module, this is currently not possible to have built in the archive, due to the separation between main and universe components. Jack currently lives in universe, whereas pulseaudio is in main. packages that are in main cannot be built against packages in universe, whereas packages in universe can be built against packages in main. The same thing applies with restricted and multiverse. Restricted packages can be built against main and restricted packages. Multiverse packages can be built against main, restricted, universe, and multiverse packages.
