You seem to be expecting hwtest-gtk to produce an error message, but what makes you believe there is an error? Is the application failing to start?
By the way, if you would like to generate more verbose logging, please use the following option:
sudo hwtest-gtk --log-level=debug
Of course, you can also add a log file which you might like to attach to this bug for more information. Thanks!
