Bug Description

On start of gestikk -d I get the following error:

gestikk - version 0.6
Usage: gestikk [-c] [-q] [-d]
 -c : launch configuration applet
 -q : don't print this
 -d : Debug Mode
Please DO NOT quit gestikk using CTRL+C, this will quit all child processes.
libnotify-Message: Unable to get session bus: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-i8inxDSNDt: Connection refused
Libnotify daemon error!
Segmentation fault
(gestikk:7565): libglade-WARNING **: Error loading image: Image file '/usr/share/gestikk/.' contains no data
(gestikk:7565): libglade-WARNING **: could not convert string to type `GdkPixbuf' for property `icon'
DEBUG: recognized:

It will show one OSD gesture and then disappear. I'm running KDE 3.5.9 with python 2.5 on Ubuntu 8.04. Not sure how to get PyGTK

Hello, sorry for the delay,

I suggest that problem is because of KDE. However, libnotify should run under KDE - I'll check that. As a workaround you could use OSD Notification.

I tried it with and without the OSD but no luck. I even tried turning off
Compiz but that didn't work either. Just get the following:
libnotify-Message: Unable to get session bus: Failed to connect to socket
/tmp/dbus-hLyZH982eS: Connection refused
Libnotify daemon error!
Segmentation fault

I have a similar problem right now, but with notify-send program, which usually works, but now I'm getting:
libnotify-Message: Unable to get session bus: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-eJtVdf3GaZ: Connection refused
So the problem is not in the application, but probably in dbus.
