To clarify, can you not get any sound at all, or is it *just* with Flash?

Not at all. The volume keys on the keyboard turns the volume up but still no sound. I have tried some bug fixes on Ubuntu community but to no avail.

Please download this file and save it to your desktop. http://git.alsa-project.org/?p=alsa-driver.git;a=blob_plain;f=utils/alsa-info.sh

Open a terminal (Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal) and run the following commands one at a time:
cd Desktop
bash ./alsa-info.sh --no-upload

The file /tmp/alsa-info.txt will be created. Please attach it to this bug report.

Changing to package Linux since it's not Firefox-specific.

Well that's...interesting.

OK, let's start with this, then...what's the output of "lspci -nv | grep -A 1 0403"?

Found the fix in a previous post. Double click on the sound icon on the top. Click on the switches tab and check speakers. Thanks Mackenzie Morgan

The bug should be Invalid, because having your speaker channel off is not a bug. Fix Committed means a patch is available and has been committed to Ubuntu's git or bzr of it. Fix Released means a package has been released to the repos containing the fix that was committed.
