printer canon pixma IP 3500 magenta and cyan get out of place

Bug Description

I use Cups+Gutenprint v5.0.2 Simplified [en] for PIXMA IP 3000, because IP 3500 is not available. Colours Magenta and Cyan are moved approximately 5 cm to the right and are stretched.

Canon PIXMA iP3000 is only supported since gutenprint 5.2
If your are using Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (Hardy) you should be able to install the gutenprint 5.2 distribution-independent driver package from openprinting.org: http://openprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Canon-PIXMA_iP3000
Upgrading to Ubuntu Intrepid or later should also give you gutenprint 5.2.
Please reopen if this is still an issue after gutenprint upgrade.
