Is this turned off for a reason (Pete?). I agree it should be enabled by default. Temp workaround is to turn it on in the "Main Menu" preference settings.

I did ask for this to be hidden in the control centre because I feel it is an advanced feature that few users will need to access. I was thinking in terms of the non-technical consumer. There are a number of applets in the control centre and my goal is to reduce the clutter. Is there a particular feature in sessions you think most users will want to access? Keep in mind that they are able to enable this in the control centre as outlined by Bill Filler.

Even if we enable this feature I believe the user has to know where to find the binary for the program they want to start. This is not an easy feature to use. The only benefit I potentially see is to save the current session to become the default session, but will that make any sense?

Without a more compelling reason, I think this should remain off.
