Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

When I'm in fullscreen ("party") mode, if I move the mouse over a button or the search box, for example, the whole screen flashes about twice per second. This has happened since at least Gutsy or before with different video cards.
Latest 8.04
Rhythmbox 0.11.5-0ubuntu8

thanks for the report, are you using compiz? does it happens without it? Which video card do you have and also which driver are you using?

Yes, I'm using compiz with this video card:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c)
and the "intel" driver.
I'll test without compiz and on an Nvidia card with "nvidia" driver later.

I tried without Compiz and I don't think the problem exists in that case.

Hi, I confirm this compiz bug (jaunty ubuntu studio). Most generaly it's occurs on any button with tooltips when the current gnome application is in fullscreen mode (F11).

Bye

After a few research: uncheck "unredirect full screen" in Compiz options (General tab) seems correct this problem ;)
