Task doesn't disappear from task manager applet on panel when moved to a different disktop

Open Task Manager Settings (Taskbar plasma widget) and enable the "show only tasks from current desktop" option.
Now on a desktop, say desktop 1, right click over some window and send it to, say, Desktop 2. Even after doing that, the task entry on the task manager remains intact. If I switch to desktop 2 and switch back to desktop 1, it disappears.

I am using Ubuntu 8.04.1 amd64 edition, and I have installed kubuntu-kde4-desktop on it. I am using Compiz 0.7.6

Does this happen when you aren't using Compiz?

No.. Does not happen with KWin.

Ok, then it's a compiz bug.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 9.04? Thanks in advance.
