Bug Description

I am running Ubuntu 8.04 amd64 and I have installed kubuntu-kde4-desktop on it.

Big icons:
Running pidgin on KDE4

The white square just towards the left of the laptop ("Recently plugged in devices" widget) is a large pidgin icon (probably, 48x48 instead of the standard 24x24 or 22x22).

Garbage icons:
Execute "bluetooth-applet" in KDE4 (bluetooth-applet is the gnome bluetooth applet) and you will have this:

The above image is the pidgin icon + the bluetooth applet garbage icon. Even after killing the bluetooth-applet process, the icon remains at the notification area.

I'm using Ubuntu Intrepid - KDE Version 4.1.2 Fully updated from repository releases.

Downloaded Kubuntu-Desktop from a regular Ubuntu-Desktop release - So I have both gnome and kde side by side.

I have the white icons bug too, sometimes they respond, sometimes they don't. All the gnome icons do it, and right at this moment the Klipper icon is solid white.
