Battery details missing in gnome-power-manager

I have Dell Latitude D600 running Hardy 8.04 with latest patches.

Gnome-power-manager is missing battery details when run with LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8.

When run with LANG=C everything works correctly.

Hmm, I checked the translation and didn't see anything (that) obvious that would cause the problem, eg. parse error. I only found one </B> instead of </b>, which normally shouldn't affect it.

I fixed that one, please try the attached gnome-power-manager.mo by downloading it and copying it to /usr/share/locale-langpack/fi/LC_MESSAGES/gnome-power-manager.mo (make sure you overwrite the existing file). You need to logout and login for the change to take effect.

(and thanks to bug it occurred to me it would probably be useful to subscribe somehow Ubuntu Finnish translators to all language-*fi* bug reports... I try to see about it on a weekend or so)

Thanks for your help, new translation file fixed the problem.
Now i can see battery details in both locales.

Fine, great. In that case marking this bug "Fix Committed", since the fix is also in Launchpad's 8.04 Finnish translations. Eventually it will be released as part of language pack updates, but it might take quite a long time.

Ubuntu 8.10 (GNOME 2.24) will also have the problem fixed.
