Binary package hint: virtualbox-ose

virtualbox fails to boot any virtual machine since virtualbox-ose-modules-2.6.24-21-generic is missing after upgrading kernel to 2.6.24-21-generic

Try this...

sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose-source
sudo m-a update
sudo m-a prepare
sudo m-a a-i virtualbox-ose
sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv restart

@ironstorm: it seems like you are using amd64 then, where this is reported in bug 238259.

sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose-source
sudo m-a update
sudo m-a prepare
sudo m-a a-i virtualbox-ose
sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv restart
