Bug Description

There is a solid frame in the screen and sometimes some pattern inside after launching hibernate or revoke from it (after splash screen in the latter case). This happens only with external monitor attached to the notebook. Eventually both succeed although sometimes I was notified that there was a sleep problem after revoking desktop, and there was some peeping sound before the desktop appears, too.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it without more information.

please attach the following information to the bug report as _separate_ attachments:
    * Output of uname -a
    * Output of sudo lspci -vvnn
    * Output of sudo dmidecode
    * Try to hibernate/suspend and then restart the system and attach /var/log/kern.log.0
    * Tarball of /proc/acpi directory. You can't just tar all files because their content sometimes changes etc.
          o cp -r /proc/acpi /tmp
          o tar -cvjf ~/acpi.tar.bz /tmp/acpi
