auto-scan not available

Bug Description

Binary package hint: klamav

The auto-scan tab is not available when running KlamAV. The KlamAV website suggests that the Dazuko module is required for auto-scan; however, it does not appear to be included with my kernel.

KlamAV 0.42
Kubuntu 8.04
KDE 3.5.9
kernel 2.6.24-19-generic

Upstream removed on-access auto scanning starting with 0.42.

That would certainly explain it. Thanks for your reply.

However it appears the other autoscan options are still available (just the on-access scanning is gone - which is also what used dazuko). I may have gone to far when I patched up klamav. Looking into it now.

Changed in klamav:

status: New → In Progress

All the auto scan functions require dazuko and it's going to be non-trivial to integrate. I'll work on it.

I've looked into this and I don't see a good way to add the needed Dazuko modules to the production kernel. This applies to Debian and Ubuntu, so there is really no way to fix this currently.
