This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. What exactly isn't working? The log reveals that the intel driver is being used with resolution 1024x768@85Hz.

the problem is that the login screen is in 1024*768 while thw desktop screen is 1280*1024, i have never been able to change it to 1280*1024 (login screen), because the xorg.conf file doesnt let me do it, and i could change my desktop screen resolution just with resolution switcher applet, because i couldnt do it under "preference menu" in screen resolution option, so please help!!! and god bless you all!!

hi manzur,

the login screen you see is called the "usplash"

to modify its resolution, you need to edit (with root priviledges) the file /etc/usplash.conf

hope this helps

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Thanks in advance.
