exceptions.AssertionError: no parent entry

This happens as soon as i do a bzr diff, commit, status, or check, and maybe more:
Brz crashes wit this error message (truncated, more attached):

bzr: ERROR: exceptions.AssertionError: Could not find target parent in wt: images/avatars/upload
parent of: (('images/avatars/upload', '5ef0e1b75641934ad6285db9860c3a40_97.jpg', '5ef0e1b75641934ad628-20080427193459-5bbck3mpjk6eryx

images/avatars/ effectively exists but was probably removed from working tree
there is no .bzrignore (trough i thought there was one)

I didn't try editing anything in .bzr/ yet since it's written in an human-unreadable format

PS: Sorry to those who i promised to file this bug earlier, i didn't have access to the repo for a while
