Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
When click on links to some files (such as a .PDF), Firefox shows the "Opening *" dialog, with radio button choices for "Open with" and "Save File". "Open with" is generally (but not always) selected by default, but the OK button is not always sensitive. Clicking the "Open with" radio button again makes it sensitive so I can continue.
Actually it seems that this might be a window focus issue. I just noticed that, when the dialog is not focused (though it's always in front), the Cancel button can be clicked, but the OK button is insensitive. It becomes sensitive when I click the window to bring it to the front again. Maybe it wasn't specifically the Open with radio button that had to be clicked, but anywhere on the window, and maybe this is some design decision. If so, it's rather obscure and gives the impression of a bug. At the least, an explanatory tooltip on the button would give some clue to the user about what is happening so I don't just assume that Firefox is broken.
I can confirm that the above said case it true, but shouldn't this be marked as a wishlist rather? It is surely now a bug because when you don't have a focus on the current dialog box )where you are going to make a choice and perform an action) and hence the confirmation option needs to be disabled as your active concentration might be on some other window.
