The "in progress" Drupal website could be used as (internal) wiki too. Currently Bruno and I have the necessary admin permissions to setup it.

I'm all in favor. Please coordinate with Cédric.

I propose to do this with Organic groups. From the module's page at http://drupal.org/project/og:

"Enable users to create and manage their own 'groups'. Each group can have subscribers, and maintains a group home page where subscribers communicate amongst themselves. They do so by posting the usual node types: blog, story, page, etc. A block is shown on the group home page which facilitates these posts. The block also provides summary information about the group."

OG allows you to have WIKI's, group's events, public/private groups etc. You can either use OG in a very complex way, or keep it very simple. Since we'll be using OG extensively with Indymedia.be in the near future, this might be a worthwhile excercise ;-)

Do we have a list of things we want it to be able to do? So far, we have:

- private part of the site (= private group)
- with a wiki
- ...

We could just start off with this, and extend things as we go.

Should this part of the site be SSL only? Cédric, do we have the option to run things over SSL?

I haven't had a chance to work on this yet (been extremely busy at work lately). I'm planning to start working on Indymedia's Organic Groups implementation at the end of November, my idea is to set up Ubuntu-be's Organic Groups in parallel.

are you still working on this ? If you can/want continue to work on this, please unassign the bug and change its status.

Bruno confirmed he does not have the time for this at the moment.

There isn't a clear consensus for the need of an internal wiki. Mark Van den Borre requested it but is now less involved in Ubuntu-be.

There is currently a discussion about coordination and communication in Ubuntu-be going on on the mailing list.

I close the bug. It will be re-opened if the need for an internal (ie. private) wiki shows up in the discussion. For a public Wiki, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam is fine.
