Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

When I try to open a directory with only one or more hidden files (eg. ".test") I keep the message "Ladevorgang..." and nothing more happens. I go into the directory with the bash and type "touch test.txt". Now Nautils can open the directory. Delete the file test.txt and you get the error again.

I can't repeat this. Could you please attach your ~/.xsession-errors file to this bug report after you observe this problem.

Thanks

There is no specific entry in .xsession-errors. Perhaps the video-screen-capture is helpful.

description from a duplicate:

"Steps to recreate the bug:
- open any nautilus window;
- make sure you are viewing files as List View;
- create a folder or go to an empty folder;
- create one or more hidden files (your call) like ".fileA" inside this folder;
- go to this folder parent;
- click on the arrow on the left of this folder name;
- "loading" won't stop showing up."

I would like to add that this happens only in the main section of the window (the file listing):
When expanding a folder that contains only hidden files, the text "Loading..." appears (indented on next line).
In the sidebar (in tree mode) however, the text "(Empty)" appears as expected.
