Bug Description

i am having an issue with Firefox 3 (latest version) crashing everytime i load a web page that contains flash content, using the adobe flash player (any version from 9 in the repositories to the latest v10 betas).

when i have flash installed and i try to open a web page that has flash content, Firefox will shut down unexpectedly- and the time it takes for Firefox to shut down varies... usually within a half hour or so.

i have tried using the suggestions/methods of installation from every forum thread that i can find related to my issue but i haven't gotten anything to work thus far.

can someone please help with this issue?

thanks.

I got same problem,Flash player 10,0,0,525 is a beta version and still has some bugs need to be fixed. Flash player is causing all that problem? Hopefully it will be fixed in near future.

Same issue here. I found that uninstalling adobe flash player 10 via synaptic and installing gnash solved the issue. Although gnash doesn't work on all websites correctly so I downloaded adobe flash player 9.0 instead via Adobe's archived players:

No issues with v9.0.

I used bbc.co.uk website as my test site (very reproduceable results!).
