Bug Description

Binary package hint: bluez-gnome

Debian has released 0.27-1 which is significantly more policy compliant, and upstream has released 0.28, which includes some of the work done by the Ubuntu patches to 0.25. Please update the package to take advantage of the work done external to Ubuntu and better align the Ubuntu package for ease of pushing future patches upstream.

We've worked with Emmet Hikory, to push the latest upstream release and in the same time to rebase from the debian version.
I put a pre-realse in my ppa -> https://launchpad.net/~bmillemathias/+archive

I'd be happy that someone test there is no regression.

cheers

Hi:

I've tested this package on Intrepid and successfully sent a file back and forth from my Blackberry with it installed.

Hi,

I've been using bluez-gnome (0.28-0ubuntu1~ppa3) from your ppa and I haven't spotted any regressions. The current package in Intrepid (0.25-0ubuntu2) doesn't display "Services" right for me, but this works OK with your ppa package.

I've tested functionality with Nokia 6230i phone. "Browse Device..." feature works without regressions and I'm able to receive files from the phone using "Receive files from remote devices" as well.

Thanks.

Has anyone been able to get keyboard and mouse working with this version? I can't, but I also can't with 0.25, so I'm not sure it's a regression.

I've made sure that a mouse works at this point w/ 0.28. I used a Rocketfish BT mouse.

Installing 0.28 in a hardy environment maintains a working keyboard, and 0.25 in intrepid does not have a working keyboard. As a result, while there exists a regression in bluetooth input support, updating this package fails to make the regression worse.
