Bug Description
Hello there.
I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 updated to Intrepid's kernel (2.6.26-5-generic), with the latest drivers for my wireless card (Intel WiFi Link 4965AGN) obtained from the compat-wireless project, dated 6 August 2008.
I'm experiencing some problems, which seem to be randomly induced. They happen when I play around with the module, remove it and insert again, and sometimes when I'm not doing anything special (I'm connected to my router through wifi).
The thing is, sometimes the system starts being irresponsive, my laptop's fan starts spinning really fast and the computer shuts down within, like, 5 seconds. (that's what happens when it overheats, but I'm 100% positive that its temperature is proper and shouldn't induce shutdowns)
I'm using a Compal FL90 laptop, with Intel Core 2 Duo.
Kernel messages preceding the shutdown are as follows :

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description does not yet have enough information.
Please include the following additional information, if you have not already done so (pay attention to lspci's additional options), as required by the Ubuntu Kernel Team:
1. Please include the output of the command "uname -a" in your next response. It should be one, long line of text which includes the exact kernel version you're running, as well as the CPU architecture.
2. Please run the command "dmesg > dmesg.log" after a fresh boot and attach the resulting file "dmesg.log" to this bug report.
3. Please run the command "sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log" and attach the resulting file "lspci-vvnn.log" to this bug report.
