..although I don't see anything worthwhile in the new version, syncing now would mean we get the next version automatically (in intrepid+1).

Timo, as you were the one to add the Ubuntu delta in 0.6.0-35ubuntu1, I will take your word for it when you say that the changes are no longer needed. I am changing the status of this bug to 'Invalid', as a merge is no longer needed.
