download notification area don't change in status bar

3) Since the there is no active download the download notification area must be colapsed to the icon to free space to show the url which the selected link points to.

4) When the download is finished the download notification area in the the status bar still showing that warning "One active download (a few seconds remaining)" and the only way to make it disappear is restart firefox.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.

No problem with try it in 8.10 but i think that i only will be able to
submit the report on 9.04 after the official release (i'm not a beta
tester).
I probably will send the report saturday or sunday. Thanks for the
contact and help to bring us free software.

This bug still exists for me in Firefox v3.0.14 (Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0)

This cannot be fixed by clearing my download history, only (as far as I can tell) by restarting Firefox.

Has there been any progress on this issue?
