Bug Description

Binary package hint: xconq

on 8.04 Hardy, xconq 7.4.1-4ubuntu2 crashes briefly into the game (several turns) while playing the "Advances through History" and "Ancient Near East" scenarios (those are the only two scenarios I play regularly.) note there is also an xconq-common file for this version.

Xconq did previously work on prior ubuntu versions so I am assuming reverting to a previous version of the program might solve the problem. These xconq scenarios are old and well tested, so they're not experimental games (I've been playing them since at least the mid-90s on other forms of *nix.)

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the program, and otherwise trouble shoot several times to see if that would work, but it has had no effect.

thanks

Computer up dated to 11.4 a couple of days ago and has been slow and unstable since then. Seamonkey
will not let you do anything with the emails ie. can not forward them, can not reply to them. Will put something in documents, but file will not open from there. Can I go back to 10.10 and not lose everything in the computer ? ? ? Ubuntu 10.10 seemed to be working well and seamonkey worked well with it. If possible to revert to 10.10 will need detailed steps on how to do it. Thanks, L. Trammell
