Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
I found a problem from Gutsy that is still "present" on Hardy (it was all right with Feisty and Edgy). When I click on any "shutdown button" :
o the little red botton on the task bar,
o the "System/Quit" menu,
o the desktop shutdown button,
gdm seems to freeze (the only thing I can do is to move the mouse on the screen) for 1 minutes... ( ctrl-alt-F1/F7 works fine) ... and a "strange popup shutdown window" came to the screen. And then, if I cancel this"popup window", the next time I activate any shutdown button it works fine (the NORMAL pop-up came immediately).
This bug is not reproductible if I activate the "update-manager".
This bug doesn't happen to all users (some of them don't have it) !

Can you please go to System -> Preferences -> Sessions and make sure that 'Power Manager' is checked. This sounds very much like gnome-power-manager isn't running.
Thanks
