Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

With the runtime packages from version 4:4.1.0-0ubuntu2 of kdebase, running any KDE apps (at least konsole, kate, korgac, and korganizer) within the gnome environment just results in that application using 100% CPU time and never appearing.

The following reliably fixes the problem:
cd /var/cache/apt/archives && sudo dpkg -i kdebase-runtime*4.1.0*ubuntu1*.deb

Confirmed here too. Not only applications fail to start, KDM doesn't work either (it's permanently stuck in a black screen with the hourglass cursor).
