3rd pane is broken as of BZR Trunk Revision 483

Bug Description
As of August 4th, 3:43AM (ungodly hour), my third pane will not appear, regardless of plugin status or anything else for that matter. I'm building from the BZR Trunk revision 483 on Ubuntu 8.04. I'm not sure how DBO missed this (it's kinda blatent, it just won't show up), so I'm assuming it's exclusive to my system. If this is already a known problem with revision 483, then feel free to remove this report.

Could you please walk us through the exact steps you take to reproduce this? I have not seen this, and iirc, none of the commits made should have broken the third pane.
