Current version in intrepid: 5.1.22
Version 5.1.22 includes some important bug fixes to the 5.1.x series:

Recompilation of source from intrepid into hardy works with no problem.

Looking at the changes 5.1.21 -> 5.1.22 this appears to be an SRU worthy bug. Please file a bug again xmgrace, and subscribe motu-sru to it requesting that it be updated. If SRU rejects the update, then please reopen this bug and we will handle backporting.
Marking Won't Fix until SRU comments on the bug.
