Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde-systemsettings

In Kubuntu Hardy (seen since Feisty), systemsettings crashes reproducible when you do the following:

- Open Systemsettings
- click on any icon (e.g. desktop)
- before it opens, click on another icon (e.g. appearance)

This bug hast been fixed in KDE3 upstream, please include it in Kubuntu as well.

I've just taken the patch from kdesvn and made it suitable for the Ubuntu kde-systemsettings package.
Look at it, I just put it into the debian/patches folder, built the package, and it worked perfectly.

I don't know how this is handled (who edits the changelog), but if you don't mind, I edited it and here is it.
