cannot merge contacts

Binary package hint: pidgin

I have two contact entries:
* a plain bonjour buddy
* a merged AIM/MSN buddy

As I want to merge those two entries I drag and drop the AIM/MSN one onto the bonjour one. Everything works fine. See screen shot 1.

But on every restart of pidgin the triple contact splits up again. See screen shot 2.

Using Ubuntu Hardy and Pidgin 2.4.3.

You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
