Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

The recently used tab of the KDE 4.1 launcher contains an entry for meta.desktop.lock in .kde4/share/apps.

I have no idea what this file is. I'm guessing it's some internal system lockfile. Hence, it shouldn't be appearing in the list.

I should say that that's the file meta.desktop. The file meta.desktop.lock doesn't actually exist, according to ls -la.

I can't really reproduce it here, so I'll leave the status at New.

Feel free to take a look at bugs.kde.org whether there is a similar report, otherwise try aggregating as many information as possible (when does it appear?, is there some pattern?, save the files which appear but shouldn't to post them later on in a bug report) and forward the report to KDE.
