Bug Description

I'm not sure if I should report this bug against module-assistant, fglrx-kernel-source, or xorg-driver-fglrx. It may need to be split up. The issue is that fglrx does not work with Radeon HD 3650 in Intrepid Ibex with Ubuntu 2.6.26-5.13-server. There are a series of problems:

1) m-a fails:

dmr@kronos:~$ sudo m-a a-i --text fglrx
[sudo] password for dmr:
.

However, there is no apparent reason why the -f option is necessary.

2) At this point, using the drivers fails. Ubuntu starts up safe graphics mode at 800x600, and if you select fglrx it totally screws up the color balance and is 100% unreadable. Attached is lspci -nn. Xorg.0.log is on the way.

You can see how even though /etc/X11/xorg.conf has:
Section "Device"
 Identifier "Configured Video Device"
 Driver "fglrx"
EndSection

/var/log/Xorg.0.log just ignores this and loads vesa.
