Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde-l10n-zhcn

The the kde-l10n-zhcn package doesn't have mo files in kubuntu 8.10 alpaha3 .
the mo files may be in language-pack-kde-zh-base. but it packaged in 200805 and install in /usr/share/locale-langpack/zh_CN/LC_MESSAGES/ . it can't be readed by the software.

i think it's needed to rebuild the package language-pack-kde-zh-base or kde-l10n-zhcn with new kde mo files.
or directly use the ppa kde-l10n-zhcn package on launchpad .

Applications should be able to use the translations from language-pack-kde-zh-base. It sounds like you are really reporting a total lack of translations. A bug in regards to this was fixed shortly before Kubuntu 8.10 was released.
If you still experience a total lack of translations with Kubuntu 8.10 or 9.04, I would recommend filing a report against language-pack-kde-zh-base.

Thanks for your understanding, and have a nice day.
