Error in directory creation at Pysycache

Binary package hint: pysycache

Launching pysycache from terminal shows this erro:

* Error in directories creation : [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/games/pysycache/themes-buttons'

I can guess it's a problem with on pointing a non-standard folder while building the package.

Besides that,
launching pysycache on the terminal is the only method available because there is only an icon to the pysycache-admin on the menu, which doesn't do anything when clicked.

I guess there is a pysycache.desktop file missing.

My version of the Ubuntu is Hardy and the package version is 3.1-1

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

The error message is still printed in pysycache 3.1-2 on Ubuntu 10.04. However, it is not printed in version 3.1-3 which is available in Ubuntu 11.04 and later releases. Therefore I am marking this bug as fixed.

Regarding the icon in the menus; there is a working one now and I reckon this can have been the issue with the .desktop files mentioned in the changelog for 3.1-2. Though please stick to one issue per report when reporting bugs in the future.

  * Replaced ttf-bitstream dependency by ttf-dejavu (Closes: #461285)
    - modified debian/control
    - modified debian/pysycache.links
  * Bump Standards-Version to 3.8.0, no changes needed.
  * Fixed .desktop files
