Bug Description
1) Using 8.0.4. Update Manager shows i am up to date.
2) Using kernel image 2.6.24
3) After inserting the sd card into the built in slot, ubuntu hangs within a few seconds. The first time this happened, ubuntu got hung as soon as the SD card image appeared on the desktop. Next time, it stayed there for a few seconds and as soon as F-Spot started downloading images, it got hung. Tried again and it got hung as soon as i inserted the card.
When ubuntu got hung, you could see a frozen desktop. Nothing changed..no mouse movements. Had to reboot.
4) Expected the card to get auto-mounted (which i think it did, since i could see the image on desktop), and ubuntu to be stable while the pictures were download from the card by any Photo Manager application.
5) F-Spot Photo Mgr version i am using is 0.4.3.1.
Attached are the logs for the first time it got hung.
Thanks,
Amar

Hi Amar,
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http:// cdimage. ubuntu. com/releases/ .
If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications- >Accessories- >Terminal) . It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.
apport-collect -p linux-image-`uname -r` 252812
Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/KernelMainl ineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs- upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs- upstream- testing' text. Please let us know your results.
Thanks in advance.
