Bug Description

Binary package hint: amarok

i have read the other posts and tried a few things but still not working correctly

i have a samsung yp-t10 mtp player with lastest fireware on it, i am trying to transfer my podcast on to it ...

i can get some to transfer but not others .... the odd .mp3 & .ogg will not transfer

my player does support .ogg and i would like to use more ....

i have tried the fix on question 19877 - This is a bug. You need to manually edit .kde/share/config/amarokrc with gedit, kate, kwrite, etc. (I recommend saving the original file as "amarokrc-bak" in case you mess up. Find the [MediaDevice...] section and manually add the filetypes you wish your device to use next to "supportedFiletypes=mp3". Here is how the line reads in my new file: "supportedFiletypes=ogg, flac, mp3, wma". (No quotes)

i only got my player to be seen be Amarok by installing "mtp-tools" but i can only see it in amarok not as a usbdrive in dolphin

i am using Kubuntu 8.04.1 (updated fully) amarok 1.4.9.1. (kde 3.5.9)
amarok:
  Installed: 2:1.4.9.1-0ubuntu3
  Candidate: 2:1.4.9.1-0ubuntu3
  Version table:
 *** 2:1.4.9.1-0ubuntu3 0
        500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

any help please ????? cheers LUKE

to add to this .. i am having repeated problems with one rss feed that i download ok but crashes the transfer every time .. i do have some others that sometimes do and sometimes don't .. so here is the feed details that crash it - http://feeds.feedburner.com/CsTechcast
