Please remove the package from repositories

Binary package hint: libjaxp1.2-java

Please remove the package from repositories for following reasons.
1. The package is in universe while libjaxp1.3-java is in main.
2. There are no reverse-build-depends on this package in intrepid.
3. The only rdepends is libjaxp1.2-java-gcj which is created from same source.

As JAXP 1.3 was released Sep 2004 and upstream considers it now EndOfLife since Feb 2008, it's really time to drop the previous version (1.2).

How should I install libjaxp1.2-java ?

Freemind 0.8.1 depends on libjaxp1.2-java.

Freemind 0.8.1 is not available in the repositories but only on sourceforge!

Does freemind have hard dependency on libjaxp1.2-java? In my opinion libjaxp1.3-java should be drop in replacement.
If freemind has hard dependency on libjaxp1.2-java then please ask the upstream author to update the software.

The debian package has dependency on libjaxp1.2-java. Don't know for the java app inside the deb.

I have filed a bugreport to update the package upstream.

Also asked getdeb.net crew to help out.

Workaround: I installed libjaxp1.2-java from hardy repositories to meet dependancies.

Which debian package are you talking about? The one in unstable does not have any dependency - http://packages.debian.org/sid/freemind
