all open tabs and task bar just disappeared

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Was typing an email and suddenly all my open tabs disappeared...also the gmail I was composing went screwy and doesn't format correctly, even after I rebooted. Can't figure out what happened to the tabs...but the taskbar also disappeared at the same time but figured out how to get it back calling it a "status bar." Can you help? I don't know where all of them went. thanks cheryl

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.

these issues are usually caused by extensions. Disable them in tools->addons (or better: uninstall).
