Bug Description
I did a test installation of intrepid (daily-live amd64 image 20080724) this morning, first it seemed as if everything was going well, but when I left the room and returned half an hour later, I noticed that the complete live system got frozen during installation.
Ubiquity was stalled at 85%, the last message the window showed was "installing language packages, configuring wngerman...". The system didn't react on any mouse/(normal) keyboard input and the date/time view on the right upper corner of the desktop was also frozen.
Interestingly it was still possible to reboot the system by pressing ALT-Print-b .
Since I am not sure, whether this is related to ubitquity or maybe some different component, I have left the package field of the report empty.
My system:
Core 2 Duo E6550
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 (Board)
Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT (Graphics)
Kind regards,
Jan
